Spring into artistry with the inaugural Daytona Beach Arts Fest on Saturday, April 9 from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday, April 10 from 10 AM to 4 PM. This two-day event promises to offer something for everyone from fun experiences, to immersive art, to original and live music provided by The Local Mix. The festival will be opened by Mayor Derrick Henry on Saturday morning at 9:00 am on Magnolia Avenue. The Daytona Beach Arts Festival is free and open to the public. Highlights of the event include:

ARTISAN MARKETPLACE

Throughout the Daytona Beach Arts Fest weekend, both artists and attendees will enjoy the juried and non-juried exhibits of arts and crafts in the Artisan Marketplace on Beach Street, which will offer the opportunity to view artists’ works and installations, listen to local music, and more.

ART BATTLE

The Art Battle live painting competition will be held on Saturday, April 9 on North Beach Street at 1:00 PM. Art Battle is an art competition involving artists competing in a timed, live-painting tournament. Local artists will create paintings transforming blank canvases into beautiful works of art in just 20 minutes, and ultimately compete for a spot to move on to regional, national and international levels. Special VIP tickets are also available for $25 per person.

IMAGINE ART

Specially created for kids, the Imagine Art area will showcase creative arts made by Volusia County school students, Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/ Flagler Counties and Art Haus. Scholarship awards will be announced at the event.

PACE PROJECT

PACE Project is a city-wide public art installation consisting of painted vehicles by local artists. A mystery Jeep will be stationed at the foot of the International Speedway Boulevard Bridge in early April and will be unveiled by the Riverfront Arts District and Imagine Art Daytona during the Daytona Beach Arts Fest. The public is invited to visit the exhibit and participate in a sweepstakes by posing for snap shots and uploading their image to #PACEDDaytonaBeach.

FASHION SHOW

Fashion Week on the Beach presents Fashion en Blanc – an after-hours fashion show will take place on Magnolia Avenue on Saturday, April 9 and Sunday, April 10 from 5:30 to 10 PM. Fashion En Blanc is an all-white, outdoor, fancy fashion experience. Attendees are encouraged to dress in white and will have the pleasure of creating their own elegant pop-up dining/picnic table with friends. Tickets are $60 per person.
