DESCRIPTION:Spring into artistry with the inaugural Daytona Beach Arts Fest on Saturday\, April 9 from 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday\, April 10 from 10 AM to 4 PM. This two-day event promises to offer something for everyone from fun experiences\, to immersive art\, to original and live music provided by The Local Mix. The festival will be opened by Mayor Derrick Henry on Saturday morning at 9:00 am on Magnolia Avenue. The Daytona Beach Arts Festival is free and open to the public. Highlights of the event include: \nARTISAN MARKETPLACE\nThroughout the Daytona Beach Arts Fest weekend\, both artists and attendees will enjoy the juried and non-juried exhibits of arts and crafts in the Artisan Marketplace on Beach Street\, which will offer the opportunity to view artists’ works and installations\, listen to local music\, and more. \nART BATTLE\nThe Art Battle live painting competition will be held on Saturday\, April 9 on North Beach Street at 1:00 PM. Art Battle is an art competition involving artists competing in a timed\, live-painting tournament. Local artists will create paintings transforming blank canvases into beautiful works of art in just 20 minutes\, and ultimately compete for a spot to move on to regional\, national and international levels. Special VIP tickets are also available for $25 per person. \nIMAGINE ART\nSpecially created for kids\, the Imagine Art area will showcase creative arts made by Volusia County school students\, Boys & Girls Clubs of Volusia/ Flagler Counties and Art Haus. Scholarship awards will be announced at the event. \nPACE PROJECT\nPACE Project is a city-wide public art installation consisting of painted vehicles by local artists. A mystery Jeep will be stationed at the foot of the International Speedway Boulevard Bridge in early April and will be unveiled by the Riverfront Arts District and Imagine Art Daytona during the Daytona Beach Arts Fest. The public is invited to visit the exhibit and participate in a sweepstakes by posing for snap shots and uploading their image to #PACEDDaytonaBeach. \nFASHION SHOW\nFashion Week on the Beach presents Fashion en Blanc – an after-hours fashion show will take place on Magnolia Avenue on Saturday\, April 9 and Sunday\, April 10 from 5:30 to 10 PM. Fashion En Blanc is an all-white\, outdoor\, fancy fashion experience. Attendees are encouraged to dress in white and will have the pleasure of creating their own elegant pop-up dining/picnic table with friends. Plenty of free parking can be found behind the Riverfront Shops. \nBrimming with Irish cheer\, the block party will have two stages of entertainment: \nStage One will feature DJ Popuh with traditional Irish and Irish Rock music starting at 5 PM\, and the Green Tree Brothers Band will play classic rock from 7:30-9 PM. \nPerforming on Stage Two will be Irish dancers from the Magennis Academy of Irish Dance from 6-8 PM and the Daytona Beach Pipes & Drum Corps will be performing throughout the night.\nBeach Street will be closed to vehicle traffic between International Speedway Boulevard and Orange Avenue to accommodate the block party.

DESCRIPTION:The Farmers’ Market Fall Festival will kick off with a morning of Halloween fun on Saturday\, October 31. Beginning at 9:00 a.m. children can get free trick or treat goodies\, and a photographer will take family photos. An authentic steel drum band\, Caribbean Rhythm\, dressed in pirate attire will play from 10 a.m. to noon. Children are encouraged to wear costumes to this family event. \nMarket vendors will have special autumn items throughout the season\, and the Riverfront Shops will be decorated for fall. Spend a delightful day enjoying the beautiful weather\, browsing the Farmers’ Market\, and shopping and dining in historic Downtown! \nThe Farmers’ Market takes place on Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon at its new venue\, Market@Magnolia\, located on Magnolia Avenue between Beach Street and Palmetto Avenue. Ample parking is available in public lots behind the Riverfront Shops\, including 30 spaces recently added on Myrtle Lane.
